ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System The ISO 9000 is a set of generic standards that provide quality management guidance and identify Quality System elements necessary to achieve quality assurance. ISO 9000 is independent of any specific industry or economy sector. Each company determines how to implement these standards to meet its specific needs and the needs of its customers. The ISO 9000 covers a broad scope of basic and uncomplicated Quality System elements. A company that achieves ISO 9000 registration can declare that it has a documented Quality System that is fully deployed and consistently followed. Basically the ISO 9000 standards require a company to document what it does, do what it documents, review the process, and improve it when necessary. |
